High Atop a Mountain in Honduras

Hey everyone- We have arrived and all is well.We both have noted how much we have forgotten the pace and difficulty of being here and trying to accomplish things that we so take for granted at home. We have spent 24/7 in the heat, in the car, in the city, but accomplishing much to be ready for our first service team.We have spent a lot of time with our Honduran counterparts determining the extent of repairs and equipment we need to move forward once our group is here. For Amanda and I the reality of seeing a center where the poorest and youngest of this village will be safe and able to receive nourishment, drink clean water, and be nurtured is more than a dream come true. Thank you to one and all who have helped make this a reality. We are going to close for this evening as the insects chew at our ankles (seriously-we have DEET!). Please keep us and the children awaiting the opening of Los Angelitos in your thoughts and prayers!

  1. Hi Sharon and Amanda, thoughts prayers and help are coming your way baby!!!!! Met with Patty Boston and her husband and I am looking forward to traveling and working with her. My husband works with Julie Burkes dad. It is amazing how small of a world it truly is. Looking forward to seeing you both soon. Lots of love and prayers, Michelle

  2. Hey Sharon and Amanda-glad to hear you made it safe and sound! Starting to pull things together here as far as packing and starting to get excited about the reality of what we will all be doing! Not sure when you will be reading this, but if there are any last minute things that are needed for working-let us know and we will see what we can do. CAN'T WAIT!! Take care, Pam
