True Thanks Giving

As the typical American holiday season approaches, I look back upon 2011 with immense gratitude. I wish I could name each and every one of you. Whether you are a high school student creating venues for serving these children or retired followers collecting returnables in order to educate a child. From the smallest gesture, to the overwhelming opening up of hearts, minds, and homes to support the mission of Daisy's,each holds an ever valid place in the history of our successes. From a sewing center to a daycare feeding over a hundred children daily, how do you measure, measure a year? Amid the gratitude, I look forward to the needs ahead. A vehicle, the desire to initiate and educate our families in the proper use of Ecofiltro home water filtration systems, our second Northeastern University Alternative Spring Break, acquiring land for an orphanage, and vocational center. I pause here. With each step of success, I am also reminded of the devastating need. We have found ourselves at new crossroads. With them come celebration and great sorrow. As we celebrate with family and friends, I hold close the five children of our project who became orphans this year. Without you....without Daisy's....there is no hope of a bright future. Thank you for sharing what you can to create a future for these children. They will shine!
