Sunday, Sunday.........

A day filled with so many smiling faces and warm embraces.A real homecoming in so many ways.Starting the day with breakfast shared with one of the fathers. Swinging in a handmade hammock under an almond tree with Daisy's younger daughter Carla who looks more and more like her mother. Blessed to hold the youngest member of our project, a little man only 8 days old, a younger sibling of my friend Lucy. He's still waiting for a name. A visit to the clinic 30 minutes away with Joyeis, Daisy's oldest daughter, to seek treatment for a severe bacterial infection of the scalp,to include a scalp treatment, drainage, a shot and medicine for a total of 40 Limpiras, the equivalent of slightly more than $2USD but still unattainable to most here without our project. Big hugs and kisses from little Oscar as he received his new shoes and uniform pants for school. Meeting with the doctor who heads up the clinic in Trinidad. Just another day for Daisy's Children. Yes I am tired but I will go to sleep with a full heart and a sense of great satisfaction that our efforts are good and just and blessed!
